This is how we change lives.
For 40 years, the George Pocock Rowing Foundation has built and supported inclusive, impactful, and accessible spaces for young people.
ERG ED® - Rowing in the Classroom
ERG ED® is a classroom-based indoor rowing education program that teaches school-age students the fundamentals of rowing and how to properly use a rowing machine.
Camp Lucy - Girl Empowerment Through Rowing
Honoring the legacy of Lucy Pocock—an early trailblazer in women’s rowing and George Pocock’s sister—Camp Lucy is a Summer Camp designed specifically for middle school girls.
Pocock Youth Rowing - Community and Competition on the Water
At our Seattle-based boathouse facility, the George Pocock Memorial Rowing Center, we offer ongoing programs for middle and high school rowers, whether they are new to the sport or building on their prior rowing experience.
Athlete Support & Retention - Comprehensive Scholarship Support
Any young person who wants to row should have the opportunity to do so, regardless of background or economic circumstance. To make this possible, the GPRF funds financial aid at our partner boathouses so that all young people can row
Regional Grants Program - Empowering PNW boathouses
To empower the organizations that are committed to driving inclusivity in and access to our sport, the George Pocock Rowing Foundation grant program provides financial, educational, and operational aid, ensuring that more young athletes are able to find, start, and stay rowing within their community.
“So is life: the very problems you must overcome also support you and make you stronger in overcoming them.”
