ERG ED® brings rowing into the classroom.

ERG ED® launched in 2010 in three Seattle Middle Schools. By 2014, ERG ED® was an integrated part of the standard physical education curriculum for all Seattle Public School students in Middle and K-8 schools - this was just the beginning.

ERG ED® is an indoor rowing curriculum that brings rowing directly to the P.E. classroom. ERG ED® introduces students to rowing and teaches essential life skills such as fitness, goal setting, and teamwork.

Through partnerships with school districts and boathouses across the country, the ERG ED® program is leading a large-scale, systemic change in how young people access the sport of rowing.

The goal of ERG ED® is to introduce the sport of rowing to all young people and to create viable pathways for students to continue rowing.
