This year-end, we’re Blazing the Trail to build and support an inclusive rowing community that is accessible for all young people.
At the end of 2020, the GPRF set strategic priorities for the coming year. These included:
Becoming a more philanthropic and sustainable organization, and to grow and diversify our sport for young people.
In service of these priorities, this year we have:
*Launched Camp Lucy: a completely free program for young women.
*Designed Discovery Crew: a completely free program for middle-school-aged youth, launching in 2022.
*Created a new Grants program for our regional boathouse and athletes. We will award $100,000 in financial support in 2022.
*Safely reopened Erg Ed across the nation, providing youth with a chance to row through their school P.E. program.
*Awarded 36 scholarships totaling $30,000 in financial aid to youth around the PNW
To continue supporting our programs now and in the future, we're aiming to raise $100,000 during this year-end appeal.
And we are extremely fortunate to have received a generous matching donation provided by the Schlaepfer Family Foundation. You can triple your impact today: every $100 donated becomes a $300 gift.
Contribute to Camp Lucy, Discovery Crew, Erg Ed, Scholarships, and programs directly supporting young people so more youth can experience the life-changing sport of rowing, now and in the future.
