In this season of giving, we ask "What has rowing given you?"

Victor Agbayani, a former George Pocock Rowing Foundation scholarship athlete, shares how rowing has shaped his journey.

For Victor, rowing is more than a sport - it's a community of friends and teammates who inspire him. “Rowing has given me a lot of friends. My team means everything to me.”

Can you relate?

As we enter the holiday season, let’s take a moment to appreciate all the wonderful gifts we have received through rowing;  We’ve joined a community through rowing, gained physical fitness, learned about leadership, and overcome adversity. We’ve become more resilient through both successes and failures and found a connection to people who become our family and friends. For some, rowing has provided a path toward college, a job, or the next life chapter. For others, rowing was a healthy and much-needed detour from a life without nearly as much prosperity, opportunity, friendship, and joy.

What has rowing given you?

Tuesday, December 3rd marks GivingTuesday - a global day of generosity.  We hope you will help us move into 2025 with bravery and strength as we continue to build and foster an inclusive rowing community that is accessible for all young people.

We're aiming to raise $100,000 before December 31st—will you help?
