2024 Fall Progress Report

Wow! We are in the final few weeks of 2024 and want to provide an update to our Spring Progress Report:

The GPRF has provided 155 scholarships this year. This includes direct scholarship support for 112 athletes and administrative support for 43 additional athletes of all ages across 13 boathouses in the Pacific Northwest.

Camp Lucy, our free 10-day rowing camp for middle school girls, took place in 3 boathouses this summer and introduced 62 young women to rowing, empowering them to feel Strong, Powerful, Supported, and Brave.

With a partnership from Concept2, our ERG ED® program awarded two grantees; Dallas Independent School District in partnership with Bachman ROC, and Hackensack Public Schools in partnership with Hackensack Crew. With over 160,000 students in these public schools, the impact of introducing rowing to young athletes is paramount.

Our nine regional boathouse grantees have been working hard on their respective projects to introduce more young people to rowing in our region. Their updates can be found here.

Thank you for making this all possible!

Enclosed is a more detailed update on our Athlete Support and Retention (Scholarship) Program and what we’ve learned about the athletes we serve.
